The author is the widow of T. L. Blalock, missionary to China from 1929 to 1950. She has also served as a missionary in the Philippines, Hawaii and Puerto Rico. She says, "The purpose in writing these experiences of my life is that my relatives may have my life's story. I hope there may be some truth of God's Word in this book that may lead the lost to trust Jesus as Saviour and cause Christians to be edified."
